According to recent figures, the number of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.

Between 2004 and 2024, the figure of male centenarians has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same timeframe, the amount of female centenarians increased by nearly 100% from 7,400 to 13,600.

We are eager to receive stories from individuals who have reached 100, their family or friends, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s seismic events and developments.
