Executive Mansion Starts Tearing Down of Eastern Section for New Banquet Hall

Renovation efforts has commenced on a portion of the Executive Mansion's eastern section as planning progress for the construction of a new executive banquet hall.

Laborers started removing extensive areas of a protected entrance and glass panels in the eastern section earlier this week, with the construction being characterized as a "complete modernization" of the structure.

The quarter-billion dollar ballroom addition was initially presented as being "situated close to" the present facility without altering its original design.

"It won't impact with the current building. It will not. It'll be near but not touching - and shows complete deference to the present facility, which I'm the biggest fan of," was declared in a previous announcement. "It's my preferred. It's my preferred location. I love it."

The construction project was announced through online platforms, with declaration that "ground has been broken" on the "highly anticipated" ballroom space.

"For more than 150 years, each chief executive has dreamt about having a Grand Hall at the White House to host guests for grand parties, State Visits, etc," was expressed in the declaration.

The undertaking is being privately funded by "multiple committed citizens" according to public announcements.

The White House has acted as the iconic dwelling of the US president for 200 years. The East Wing was initially erected in 1902 and was previously altered in 1942.

From the southern aspect of the building, witnesses could see multiple substantial items of construction equipment - some adorned with national symbols - situated adjacent to the East Wing.

The covered entryway, which extends across the eastern section's southern exposure, appeared to be undergoing gutting, with concrete debris and steel wires clearly visible from several hundred meters away.

The construction activity had drawn a small number of interested observers who halted to question photographers and reporters about the present operations.

One female, who was wearing a face covering and a placard with an opposing message on it, shared her disapproval. She chose to remain anonymous.

"I don't like it," she said - seemingly speaking to nobody in particular - as she gestured at the White House from near a yellow vehicle that was positioned in the vicinity. "See the alterations to it!"
